Analysis on the Rational Exploitation and Regulatory Storage of Karst Water Resources in the Central-South Region of Shandong Province, China

The karst region in the central-south region of Shandong province of China is one of the typical half-drought temperate karst regions in north China. There are abundant karst water resources in this region, and are also the major water supply resource bases of the important cities of Shandong province, China. But some major features of karst water resource such as inhomogeneous distribution, large area dispersed recharge and local water concentration exist evidently in this region. These features determine that it is very significant to realize the rational exploitation and regulatory storage of karst water resource in this region. Based on the systematic investigation of the typical area of karst water resources in central-south region of Shandong province, China and the previous research findings, this paper completes a systematic research on the present situation of exploitation and utilization, influencing factor of scientific exploitation and rational storage problem of karst water resources in this region. The regional distribution features and pattern of karst water resources in this region are also analyzed. According to the basic research results, some major measures for rational regulatory reserve of karst water resources and ecology environment protection are put forwards in this paper.
