The present study was conducted with the intention to study the prices and arrival behaviour of apple fruit in major markets of India based on the secondary wholesale data from January, 2005 to December, 2017 collected from National Horticulture Board. In the analysis arrivals and prices showed positive trends in selected markets. The arrivals of apple have shown very high seasonality in all markets as the arrival indices were higher in peak season (July to October) compared to off-season. Prices of apple have not shown much variation throughout the year which is evident from low seasonality rate in all markets. The variation in prices was the lowest in Azadpur market (6.37%), followed by Mumbai market (11.33%) and the highest in Dhalli market (17.49%). Delhi market has the most stable prices throughout the year as this market is fed by different states and imports. Government should improve market infrastructure (cold storages) for better prices realization to the domestic growers during off-season.
