SynopsisBoron of alfalfa in Maryland was lowest in July and August when deficiency symptoms occurred most frequently. Variations may due in part to amount and vertical distribution of boron in the soil and to soil moisture supply and stage and rate of growth. Boron content in plants in a single season may vary as much as 300% within a single treatment.
