Monoterpene alkaloids from Tecoma stans

Phytochemical investigation of an ethanolic extract from fruits of Tecoma stans have led to the isolation of two novel monoterpenic alkaloids, 7-hydroxyskytanthine and 4-hydroxytecomanine, besides 5-hydroxyskytanthine and tecomanine. Structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, especially 2D NMR experiments and 13C NMR data.
