Habitat parameters were investigated in 14–22 June 2011 and in 12–24 July 2012. The comparison of the main hydrochemical parameters in the INPP pre-operational and post-operational periods shows a significant reduction in dissolved oxygen content in the lake profundal zone and in bottom layers at shallow-water stations, which was not observed in the plant pre-operational period. Such low oxygen content has a negative impact on the lake fauna, and the transformation of matter and energy in the lake ecosystem in general. Based on the hydrochemical parameters studied, it can be concluded that the trophic status of the lake has not changed.
