State and local staffs work together to provide nutrition education to participants of the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Some of the challenges involved are illustrated, and some of the activities now underway in several areas are highlighted. An in service program in Connecticut is described. Nutritionists meet to work on common problems on a monthly basis. An FNS Western Regional Conference is reviewed. Some of the activities reported by seven state coordinators are described.
