Evaluation of the effect of marker genes on agronomic characters in isolnes of the cotton plant
1990
Kerbabaeva, Z.A. | Konoplya, A.S. | Konoplya, S.P.
Isolines of the cotton plant Gossypium hirsutum L. and G. barbadense L. were obtained by backcrossing lines with marker alleles over seven generations for two varieties of each species. Four lines from each isoline together with the recurrent parents were tested in two zones in fourfold replication. The yield of raw cotton per plant, the number of bolls, boll mass, the seed and fiber index, and the yield of cotton were determined.
