The development, premises, and use of the Annehurst Curriculum Classification System (ACCS) are discussed. The system focuses on the individuality of learners. The strengths and weaknesses of a learner, once identified, are matched with curriculum materials that have been classified as being rich or appropriate in particular characteristics to ensure maximum conditions for growth in the areas of need. Figures show descriptors used for the learner characteristics of motivation and sociability and descriptors for certain curriculum characteristics.
