The development of a new test kit for the detection of staphylococcal enterotoxins is described. This polyclonal antibody-based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is designed for qualitative and quantitative rapid detectio of toxin serotypes A, B, C (subgroup 1), D and E in one test system. Results are obtained in 60 min. The lower limit of detection is 0.5 ng/ml; the precision is 90%.
