Nanoparticles are the particles with small size within the range of few nanometers and have enormous surface area which contributes towards higher reactivity. Nanoparticles are designed to fill the need in the biomedical sciences. Engineered nanopar-ticles a variant is uniform and have improvised catalytic behaviour and controlled release and thus are commonly implemented in biomedical applications. However, certain metal nanoparticles revealed pernicious impact on the living framework and these nanoparticles are therefore, supplanted with nanoparticles apparently less toxic. Calcium is one such nanoparticle. Calcium is evidently less incendiary and has supplanted nanoparticles in adjuvants, diagnosis and imaging, and feed additives. However, cytotoxic impact of the calcium nanoparticles is not much cited. The biochemical investigation relative to pernicious impact of calcium nanoparticles is assessed in present study. The outcomes recorded increment in biochemical profiles in nanocalcium administered wistar rats. Alterations in the biochemical results relates to harmful impact of calcium nanoparticles on visceral organ. Though calcium has replaced many nanoparticles the toxic impact of calcium is not studied. The damage to liver and kidney function was assessed using biochemical analysis. The present study concluded deleterious effect of calcium. Recent studies, on calcium have also revealed tumor re-programming. The nanoparticles show progressively toxic impact comparative with its size. Same metal nanoparticles at different size range show variable impact. Nonetheless, the writing on the harmful impact of calcium nanoparticles are scarce and further examination into the impact of calcium nanoparticle is necessary.
