Present study was undertaken on taxonomic enumeration of Cyanophycean (blue green) algae from Kot Dam at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The study revealed presence of 25 fresh water blue green algae belonging to 12 genera, e.g. Chroococcus, Gloeothece, Gloeocapsa, Aphanothece, Microcystis, Merismopedia, Oscillatoria, Arthrospira, Spirulina, Anabaena, Pseudoanabaena and Nostoc. Among them Oscillatoria was dominant with respect to the number of species. As cyanophycean algae of this region, were not explored earlier, present investigation was undertaken.
