You can't write a speech
1987
Dickson, C.
Nine steps are identified and elaborated upon to aid professionals in creating an effective speech that will reach the intended audience and keep the attention of the participants. These include: choosing the objective; targeting the audience; determining proper structure of the talk; dividing the talk into segment "chunks;" repetitive writing and talking through the speech; organizing the speech manuscript; developing a "key-word" outline; practicing the talk repeatedly; and hints for gaining audience attention during the speech.
