Flexural bending fatigue of raw, mercerized, and sodium chlorite (Textone) bleached jute fiber was studied. Mercerized jute fiber could withstand a greater number of flex cycles before rupture compared to raw jute, while the modal height of the fatigue cycle histogram showed a sharp fall with bleaching of jute fibers.
