Trace elements in human milk
1988
Hurley, L.S. | Lonnerdal, B.
This review discusses the concentrations of trace elements in human milk during the course of lactation and their distribution in the various milk fractions (compartmentalization of iron, copper and zinc). Trace element content of milks from various species is offered for comparative purposes. The molecular forms in which trace elements are bound in human milk and their effect on trace mineral bioavailability for infants are also examined.
