World hunger: let's dare to work towards a solution

Most of us have been confronted with the problem of world hunger. We generally feel powerless when faced with such a huge problem. I personally am increasingly convinced that each and everyone of us can play an important role towards its resolution. This presentation addresses what I consider to be some of the major issues that allow the problem to persist and to result in a continually increasing number of persons who are hungry, here and abroad. In considering these, we should then be better able to envision the roles that we can play as dietitians/nutritionists, as members of our community or as Canadians in the world community so as to make sure that we are contributing to its resolution and not to its aggravation. Because world hunger is so complex, I will simplify certain aspects.
