Effect of Border Crops on Infestation of Okra Shoot and Fruit Borer (Earias spp.)

The present studies were undertaken at ASPEE Agricultural Research and Development Farm, Village: Nare, Tal: Wada, Dist: Palghar (Maharashtra) during Rabi 2014–15 to study the effect of border crops on infestation of okra shoot and fruit borer, Earias spp. under field condition. The minimum per cent fruit infestation was recorded in T₅(20.01) i.e. Sunflower as a border crop followed by T₃ (21.86) i.e. Marigold and T₂ (22.98) i.e. Sweet corn. The maximum infestation was noticed in T₇ (33.61) i.e. No border crop (Control).
