Extract: The demand for soybeans in both domestic and world markets is strong and is expected to continue strong into future years. the projected 1985 U.S. demand for soybeans is 50% above 1972-73 levels and exports are expected to double. this paper explores the competitive position of soybeans at various price yield relationships. the relative profitability of soybeans at the farm level is a strong indicator of potential soybean supplies.
