1983
Watts, A.D. | Edwards, P.K.
This paper examines alternative methods of recruiting and retaining human service volunteers. It draws on a sample of 124 human service agencies located in five Virginia cities to analyze relationships among organizational variables, such as agency function, size, proportion of female volunteers, and change in the number of volunteers over time, with respect to the utility of recruitment and retention methods.
