Prolonged mild nutritional deficiencies: Significance for health maintenance
1980
Weg, Ruth B.
Extract: There is increasing evidence of the apparent existence of widespread subacute or subclinical malnutrition among persons 55 and over. Symptomology consequent to this malnourished state frequently is assigned to aging, or associated with non-nutritonal organic pathology. Changing nutritional habits may hold promise for the delay, prevention, and/or reversal, of a number of chronic disease characteristics of later years. Suggestions are made for the development and implementation of appropriate nutrition and nutrition education. (author)
