Extract: These papers present three alternative methods of measuring the impacts of ozone on crop yields. The progression is from experimental test plots (Atkinson, Adams, and Crocker [AAC]), to farm-level profits (Dixon, Garcia, and Mjelde [DGM]), to aggregate welfare implications (Hamilton, McCarl, and Adams [HMA]). The reader is, however, never informed as to the importance of the problem being addressed or the purpose for the three analyses.
