Recent research shows that, more than ever, networks can help deliver cost effective training. The trends and their implications for trainers are examined. The majority of users is turning to videocassettes. There is much more emphasis placed on location productions. There is a growing number of sources for rental of existing video networks. Private television is now well past its infancy. For trainers, the video networks open up a new world of software for educational use.
