Oligotriehum glaeiale sp. nov. and other new moss records from Kashmir

The more interesting mosses of a brief journey in Kashmir in 1989 are enumerated. Sixteen taxa appear to be new to the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, of which some are apparently new also to India. Oligotrichum glaciale sp. nov. is described and illustrated. Brachythecium myurelliforme Dix. is reduced to the synonymy of B. collinum (C.M.ha1.) B., S. & G., and there are other taxonomic notes, including observations on a few gatherings which proved impossible of determination at the present time.
