The sweet truth about sugar and behavior
1987
Sparkman, A.
Sugar is often blamed for hyperactivity in children, when in fact the total diet should be reviewed for nutrient balance. Assessment of a child's diet will often reveal not only a possibly high sugar/junk food content, but also deficiencies of key nutrients. Vitamins A, C the B-complex, and iron are addressed in relation to deficiency symptoms that may be manifested. In addition to diet, other aspects of behavioral problems are discussed.(jd-b)
