This study was conducted on five-years-old ‘Ferragnès’, ‘Ferraduel’, ‘Lauranne’, ‘Bertina’ and ‘Felisia’ almond cultivars growing at the private sector area of Bozova Province in Sanliurfa. Fruit samples were taken at harvest from nine fruiting trees. Protein, total oil and some fatty acids were determined. According to two-years results the highest (25.72%) protein content was determined in ‘Bertina’ while the lowest (22.96%) in ‘Felisia’. There were some differences between the two years, such as ‘Ferragnès’ with 26.23% in 2006 and 24.76% in 2007. It may depend on yield, ecological conditions and fertilization status of the soil. Total oil content was 50.60% on the average. The lowest oil content was determined in ‘Ferraduel’ (46.47%) and the highest in ‘Bertina’ (54.75%). The content of the different fatty acids, palmitic, palmitoleic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, behenic etc., changed among the cultivars.
