Some Factors Affecting the Yield Response of Soybeans to Irrigation
1964
Matson, Arnold L.
SynopsisGreater response to irrigation was obtained with the full season variety, ‘Ogden’, than with the midseason variety, ‘Dorman’, or the early variety, ‘Clark’. The May 15 plantitng date was superior to either the April 15 or June 15 date and 1%-inch plant spacing within the row gave greater yields than 3-inch spacing. Application of P and K gave no response. Irrigating from bloom to one month before harvest was nearly as effective as irrigating throughout the season.
