An investigation was carried out to determine the biochemical basis of resistance to shoot fly (Atherigona atripalpis) in foxtail millet revealed that shoot fly do not prefer the foxtail millet (Setaria itlica L.) genotypes possessing lower moisture, crude protein and total sugar content for its oviposition and dead heart infestation.
