Effect of Nitrogen Source on Yield and Nitrogen Content of Bluegrass Forage
1962
Kresge, C. B. | Younts, S. E.
SynopsisYields from plots receiving 75% nitrogen as urea-formaldehyde and 25% as urea compared favorably to those from plots receiving urea, (NH₄)₂SO₄, or NH₄NO₃. Use of urea-formaldehyde resulted in more uniform seasonal distribution of yield and greater residual effect but caused lower nitrogen content and percent nitrogen recovery in the forage.
