Show more [+] Less [-]English. Faunistic studies on Pompilidae from Turkey are reviewed and the distribution and biogeography of the Turkish pompilid fauna is analyzed. A total of 200 species and 5 subspecies belonging to 35 genera of the subfamilies Ceropalinae, Pepsinae and Pompilinae have been recorded from Turkey. Species composition, diversity and proportion of endemism vary considerably between the biogeographic subregions of the country.
