This energy profile provides a snapshot for each of the eight countries of the Hindu Kush Himalaya - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. It presents the prevailing energy situation in each of these countries, based on secondary information available in the public domain. It identifies priority areas of action and measures for governments to consider in advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency in the mountain context. A related collated regional database has been created, and country-specific information can be accessed at the REEECH portal, which is updated as and when new information is available.
