Evaluación cualitativa de los servicios ecosistémicos identificados en una Reserva Natural de la Sociedad Civil, caso de estudio Reserva Natural Palma de Cera, ubicada en La Vega Cundinamarca | Qualitative assessment of ecosystem services identified in a Civil Society Nature Reserve, case of study Palma de Cera Nature reserve , located in La Vega Cundinamarca

Este documento pretende dar a conocer una metodología para evaluar los servicios ecosistémicos (SSEE) derivados de la Reserva Natural Palma de Cera usufructuados por grupos de interés, previamente identificados y caracterizados, que mantienen una relación con el área de estudio; para ello, es esencial establecer los ecosistemas en función de las coberturas presentes al día de hoy, entendiendo, los ecosistemas como una comunidad de organismos vivos que se interrelacionan en un mismo ambiente físico, de acuerdo con Escolástico et al. (2013) no son entidades independientes aisladas unas de otras, por el contrario al compartir ambientes y hábitats interaccionan entre sí de distintas formas, obteniendo propiedades bióticas y abióticas específicas, que ofrecen una amplia gama de bienes y servicios a los seres humanos, organizados en sistemas sociales cuya existencia no es independiente de los sistemas ecológicos (MAVDT et, al. 2008). La caracterización de los SSEE se basó en información primaria y secundaria sobre elementos bióticos y abióticos propios del área de estudio, dando lugar a una categorización de estos beneficios adaptando lo expuesto por Martín et al. (2012). Adicionalmente, se adoptan las técnicas de jerarquización y calificación pertenecientes al análisis multicriterio planteado por Mendoza et al. (1999) lo que permite llevar a cabo la evaluación de los SSEE determinando su importancia con base en la valoración hecha por los grupos de interés relacionados con la reserva, a través de la aplicación personalizada de entrevistas semiestructuradas, bien sea porque son propietarios de predios de la vereda San Antonio, expertos y/o visitantes de la RNSC (Muñoz López et al. 2017). Es así, como el conocimiento y la percepción de los usuarios entrevistados define el grado de importancia de cada servicio ecosistémico derivado de la unidad de análisis, a causa de los beneficios recibidos y que garantizan en conjunto el bienestar humano, ya que según Rincón et al. (2014) los SSEE constituyen el puente que media la relación entre el sistema social y ecológico, entendiéndose el primero, como la demanda y el segundo, como la oferta que contempla la capacidad para proveer servicios desde el ecosistema.

This document aims to present a methodology to evaluate the ecosystem services (SSEE) derived from the Palma de Cera Natural Reserve usufructed by interest groups, previously identified and characterized, that maintain a relationship with the study area; For this, it is essential to establish the ecosystems based on the coverage present today, understanding ecosystems as a community of living organisms that interrelate in the same physical environment, according to Escolástico et al. (2013) are not independent entities isolated from each other, on the contrary, by sharing environments and habitats, they interact with each other in different ways, obtaining specific biotic and abiotic properties, which find a wide range of goods and services for human beings, organized in social systems whose existence is not independent of ecological systems (MAVDT et, al. 2008). The characterization of the SSEE was based on primary and secondary information on biotic and abiotic elements typical of the study area, giving rise to a categorization of these benefits adapting what was exposed by Martín et al. (2012). Additionally, the hierarchization and qualification techniques belonging to the multicriteria analysis proposed by Mendoza et al. (1999) which allows carrying out the evaluation of the SSEE determining its importance based on the assessment made by the interest groups related to the reserve, through the personalized application of semi-structured interviews, either because they are property owners. from the village of San Antonio, experts and/or visitors from the RNSC (Muñoz López et al. 2017). This is how the knowledge and perception of the users interviewed defines the degree of importance of each ecosystem service derived from the unit of analysis, due to the benefits received and that jointly guarantee human well-being, since according to Rincón et al. . (2014) the SSEE constitute the bridge that mediates the relationship between the social and ecological system, understanding the first, as the demand and the second, as the offer that contemplates the capacity to provide services from the ecosystem.
