L’algue rouge "Gracilaria verrucosa" (hudson) papenfuss de la lagune de Bizerte (Tunisie septentrionale) : essai de culture en mode suspendu et composition biochimique | الطّحلب الأحمر غراسيلاريا ببحيرة بنزرت (شمال تونس): الإستزراع بطريقة التدلّي ودراسة التركيبة البيوكميائية | The red algae Gracilaria verrucosa in Bizerte lagoon (North of Tunisia) : Suspended culture and biochemical composition

L'algue rouge, Gracilaria verrucosa, a été cultivée, durant le printemps 2009, en mode suspendu à différents emplacements et profondeurs représentant les différences biogéochimiques de la lagune de Bizerte au Nord de la Tunisie. La concentration et la distribution des nutriments (ammonium, phosphate) dans l'eau, ainsi que la salinité, la température, l’oxygène et la transparence de l’eau ont été déterminées. Les méthodes analytiques internationales standardisées ont été appliquées. Les effets du mode de culture, de l’emplacement et de la profondeur sur les rendements en poids, protéines, R-Phycoérythrine et sucres totaux de l’algue ont été étudiés. La croissance de Gracilaria a été similaire dans les différents sites mais plus lente dans les profondeurs supérieures à 1 m en raison d’une moindre intensité lumineuse. L’espèce étudiée contient des teneurs élevées en protéines (20-30%) et en R-phycoérythrine (50-85mg/g matière fraîche) et une faible teneur de carbohydrates (30%-35%). Les teneurs en protéines et R-phycoérythrine corroborent le potentiel d’utilisation de cette algue, pour l’extraction de molécules à haute valeur ajoutée et le développement d’activités innovantes.

تم استزراع الطحلب الأحمر غراسيلاريا بطريقة التّدلي وذلك بعدّة مواقع وأعماق يمثلون الاختلافات البيوجيوكيمائية لبحيرة بنزرت خلال ربيع سنة 2009. تم تحديد التركيز وتوزيع المغذيات (الآزوت و الفسفور) من جهة وتحديد درجة الملوحة والحرارة ونسبة الأكسيجين الذائب بالماء وصفاء الماء من جهة أخرى، وذلك باستعمال الطّرق التحليلية الموحّدة دوليّا. خلال هذه الدراسة تم تحديد نمو الطحلب وكمية البروتينات والسكريات وصبغ .R-phycoérythrineيمكن أن نستخلص من خلال هذه الدّراسة أن نموّ طحلب الغراسيلاريا مماثل في كل المواقع. كما أن هذا النموّ في الأعماق التي لا تتجاوز المتر عن سطح الماء أقل من النموّ في الأعماق التي تتجاوز المتر وذلك لمحدودية كميّة الضوء. وكما بيّنت هذه الدّراسة أنهذا الطحلب يحتوي على نسب عالية من البروتينات (20- 30%) وصبغ R-phycoérythrine (50 – 80 مغ/غ مادّة رطبة) ونسبة منخفضة من السكريات (30 – 35 %). إنّ نسبة البروتينيات والصبغ المتحصّل عليها تجعل من طحلب الغراسيلاريا مادة خام لاستخلاص صبغ R-phycoérythrine ذات القيمة المضافة العالية.

The red alga, Gracilaria verrucosa, was grown using suspended modes at different depths and sites representing the biogeochemical differences of the Bizerte lagoon in the North of Tunisia during a spring 2009. The concentration and distribution of nutrients (ammonium, phosphate) in water, as well as the salinity, temperature and dissolved oxygen were determined. During this period some parameters as growth, concentrations of proteins, carbohydrates and pigments yield were investigated in order to evaluate the influence of the culture mode, site and depth on Gracilaria production. Internationally standardized analytical methods were applied in order to reach these objectives. Similar growth was observed in the lagoon. Gracilaria grew slower at a depths superior to 1.0 m. The major limiting factor of algae growth was found to be the light intensity. The results indicated that Gracilaria verrucosa showed a high range of protein (20%-30%), R-phycoerythrin contents (50-85mg/g weigh matter ) and a low content in carbohydrate (30%-35%).The proteins and R-phycoerythrin contents corroborate the potential use of the studied algae, which constitute useful raw material for the development of R-phycoerythrin extraction activity.
