English. Due to the changes in European agricultural policy, with the cut-backs in market support, the flow of funds in the form of direct payments to agricultural holdings is increasing. Thanks to this increase, the significance of these payments (subsidies) for the incomes of agricultural holdings (in the form of supplements) is growing, in addition to reimbursements for landscape management. This report provides insight into this. The report analyses the consequences of a number of possible changes in the supplements policy for the continuity of holdings. In this way, the report provides information that can be used in the further design and elaboration of European agricultural policy in the Netherlands.

Door de veranderingen in het Europese landbouwbeleid, met een afbouw van de marktsteun, neemt de geldstroom in de vorm van directe betalingen naar landbouwbedrijven toe. Door deze toename groeit de betekenis van deze betalingen (subsidies) in de vorm van toeslagen en daarnaast ook vergoedingen voor landschapbeheer voor het inkomen van landbouwbedrijven. Dit rapport geeft hier zicht op. Het rapport analyseert de gevolgen van enkele mogelijke veranderingen in het toeslagenbeleid voor de continuïteit van bedrijven. Op deze wijze biedt het rapport informatie die benut kan worden bij de verdere vormgeving en uitwerking van het Europese landbouwbeleid in Nederland.
