Dutch; Flemish. Belichting zorgt voor drie processen die naast elkaar voorkomen: fotosynthese, fluorescentie en opwarming. Bij meer licht worden meer suikers gevormd waardoor de plant meer zijscheuten maakt en meer bloemen. Ook de zetting is beter. De manier waarop we belichten zou nog veel efficiënter kunnen door de lampen tussen het gewas te hangen. De praktische uitvoering daarvan vergt nog veel onderzoek.
