Globe amaranth or in Bali [Indonesia] known as Ratna flower plant (Gomphrena globosa) is a plant from the Amaranthaceae family that has many benefits such as being used as a means of ceremony, decoration and has medicinal properties or is used as an herbal drink if consumed in the form of tea. The study was conducted from June to July 2023 with the aim of evaluating germination and describing the kinship relationship of 12 accessions of Ratna flower plants originating from Bali based on morphological characters. This study used as a factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors with sampling locations as the first factor and Ratna flower plant genotypes as the second factor and 3 replications. Plant samples were taken from Tabanan (T), Sedap Malam (SM), Padang Galak (PG) and Samplangan (SPL) while plant genotype consisted of 3 genotypes namely Purple (1), White (2) and Pink (3). Data were analyzed by ANOVA test and kinship analysis was conducted using the Multivariate Statistical Package (MVSP) program. Determination of similarity index using Simple Matching Coefficient method and kinship between species using Unweighted Pair-Group Method Using Arithmetic Average (UPGMA) method. The observed characters consisted of quantitative characters namely hypocotyl height, root length, number of cotyledon leaves and cotyledon length and qualitative characters namely hypocotyl colors and cotyledon color. The results showed that the interaction between sampling locations and plant genotypes had a very significant effect on hypocotyl height and number of cotyledonary leaves, while it had a significant effect on cotyledon length and no significant effect on root length. The kinship of 12 accessions of Ratna flower plants formed five different groups with the smallest similarity coefficient value of 50%.
