Caracterización y propuesta de tratamiento de aguas crudas para su comercialización como agua embotellada

El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como propósito evaluar la calidad del agua cruda proveniente de la vertiente natural San Andrés localizado en la parroquia Hermano Miguel, mediante un estudio físico- químico y microbiológico en las muestras recogidas tanto del cuerpo de agua como en el sistema al ingreso de la empresa COMPROPUR DEL AUSTRO S.A. Para el estudio se tomaron 64 muestras, considerando los criterios para recolección de muestras de la norma ecuatoriana NTE INEN 2169: 2013 y 2176: 2013, los días lunes y miércoles de cada semana respectivamente. Los parámetros físico- químicos que se han considerado para la evaluación de la calidad en el agua cruda fueron: temperatura, pH, turbidez, SDT, conductividad, color, dureza total, alcalinidad total, nitritos, nitratos, sulfatos, hierro y cadmio; y los parámetros microbiológicos fueron: coliformes totales, coliformes fecales y aerobios mesófilos. Los resultados obtenidos del estudio revelaron que criterios como: color, turbidez, nitritos, coliformes totales, coliformes fecales y aerobios mesófilos no cumplen con lo exigido por el reglamento RTE INEN 055: 2011 y la norma NTE INEN 2200: 2008. De los resultados se realizó la propuesta de tratamiento necesaria para acondicionar el agua cruda y se elaboró un DPO para ello, el cual incluye procesos como: coagulación y floculación, sedimentación; filtración con arena, desinfección mediante cloración; acopio, filtración con carbón activo, finalmente desinfección por ozonificación.

The purpose of this research project is to evaluate the quality of raw water from the San Andrés natural spring located in the Hermano Miguel parish, by means of a physico-chemical and microbiological study in the samples collected from both the water body and the water system. income of the COMPROPUR DEL ASUTRO S.A company. The physical-chemical parameters that have been considered for quality assessment in raw water were: temperature, pH, turbidity, SDT, conductivity, color, total hardness, total alkalinity, nitrites, nitrates, sulphates, iron and cadmium; and the microbiological parameters were: total coliforms, fecal coliforms and mesophilic aerobes. The results obtained from the study revealed that criteria such as color, turbidity, nitrites, total coliforms, faecal coliforms and mesophilic aerobes do not comply with the requirements of the RTE INEN 055: 2011 and the NTE INEN 2200: 2008 norms. From the results, the necessary treatment proposal was made to condition the raw water and a DPO was prepared for it, which includes processes such as: coagulation and flocculation, sedimentation; filtration with sand, disinfection by chlorination; storage, filtration with activated carbon, finally disinfection by ozonation.
