Condition and structure of agricultural land at the Julub landfill in Maysan province (Iraq) | Состояние и структура сельскохозяйственных угодий на полигоне Джулуб в провинции Майсан (Ирак)

English. The research goal is to determine the current state and structure of agricultural land (AL) at the Julub landfill located in the south of the Maysan province (Iraq) is defined by the solution of the task of identifying relevant spatial data based on decoding satellite images, which provides assessing the potential of agricultural production, determining ways to prevent degrading AL and developing plans for the return of degraded land into economic circulation. The object of research is the Julub landfill, with an area of 1724.4 ha, which is located in the floodplain of the Tigris and Nahr-el-Majaria rivers. The development of cartographic AL layers includes: de-encryption of satellite images; standardization of AL; extrapolation of the results of decryption to similar AL; field control of the results; creation of cartographic layouts. The methods of complex analysis of agricultural landscapes are based on the technology of geoinformation mapping of their state and structure using high- and ultra-high-resolution satellite images, providing the definition of spatial distribution both of cultivated fields and areas in degradable fields; the definition of conditions for all sites is the basis for introducing resource-saving technologies in agricultural production. For the first time, the modern use and main characteristics of sites on the territory of the landfill were established using geoinformation technologies and ultra-high resolution satellite images. Long anthropogenic impact during the economic use of lands of the studied territory caused a change in the conditions of their functioning, leading to severe soil degradation. As found that the AL used occupy about 40% of the entire territory of the landfill, strong soil salting is noted on 9% of the area, 41.9% of the territory was decommissioned and overgrown with semi-shrubs and herbaceous plants. There is no reclamative afforestation arrangement of the territory. Woody and shrubby vegetation mainly grows along the banks of irrigation and drainage channels.

Цели исследования – определение современного состояния и структуры с.-х. угодий (СУ) на полигоне Джулуб, расположенном в южной части провинции Майсан (Ирак), – обусловлено решением задачи выявления соответствующих пространственных данных на основе дешифрирования космических снимков, что обеспечивает оценку потенциала производства с.-х. продукции, определения путей предотвращения развития деградации СУ и разработку планов по возвращению деградированных земель в хозяйственный оборот. Объект исследований – полигон Джулуб, площадью 1724,4 га, расположенный в пойме р. Тигр и Нахр-эль-Маджария. Разработка картографических слоев СУ включает: дешифрирование космоснимков; эталонирование СУ; экстраполяцию результатов дешифрирования на аналогичные СУ; полевой контроль результатов; создание картографических макетов. Методы комплексного анализа агроландшафтов основаны на технологии геоинформационного картографированияих состояния и структуры с использованием космоснимков сверхвысокого разрешения, обеспечивающие определение пространственного размещения как обрабатываемых полей, так и участков на полях, подверженных деградации; определение условий для всех участков и является базой для внедрения ресурсосберегающих технологий в с.-х. производстве. Впервые установлены современное использование и основные характеристики участков на территории полигона с использованием геоинформационных технологий и космоснимков сверхвысокого разрешения. Длительное антропогенное воздействие при хозяйственном использовании земель исследуемой территории вызвало изменение условий их функционирования, что привело к сильной деградации почвы. Используемые СУ занимают около 40% всей территории полигона, сильное засоление почв отмечено на 9% площади, выведено из использования и зарастает полукустарниками и травянистыми растениями 41,9% территории. Агролесомелиоративное обустройство территории отсутствует. Древесно-кустарниковая растительность в основном произрастает по берегам оросительных, дренажных каналов.
