The paper indicates the importance of the fruit of the wild plum (Prunus divaricata L., Prunus cerazifera) in medicine, and the provided statements refer to the importance of culture for human health. The selection methods for the widespread introduction of the culture are set out. The special role of this crop in the prevention and treatment of many diseases and the vital processes in the body is due to the original organoleptic properties of the fruit. It is emphasized, in comparison with other crops, it can be planted and used in windbreak zones and the so-called spare arrays. We think that the accumulated experience and the available gene pool can serve as a definite theoretical and practical basis for its commercialization. Ref. 7.
