Long-term experiments were conducted to study quantity dynamics of the anaerobic bottom sediment microflora in the Zeikus medium. For 7 months variations in quantity were observed in hydrocarbon-oxidizing, sulphate-reducing and denitrifying microorganisms. The number of hydrocarbon-oxidizing bacteria increased considerably by the middle of the experiment (from 103 to 107 cell/ml), by the end of the experiment it fell to the initial values. By the end of the experiment a group of denitrifying microorganisms prevailed over sulphate-reducing ones in the microbiocenosis. It is found that under anaerobic conditions oxidation of crude oil is extremely slow.
Show more [+] Less [-]Проведены длительные эксперименты по изучению динамики численности анаэробной микрофлоры донных осадков в среде Зейкуса. Установлено, что изменения в численности за 7 месяцев произошли с углеводородокисляющими, сульфатвосстанавливающими и денитрифицирующими микроорганизмами. Численность углеводородокисляющих бактерий значительно увеличилась к середине опыта (от 103 до 107 кл/мл), к концу опыта она уменьшилась до первоначальных величин. В наших экспериментах в микробиоценозе группа денитрифицирующих микроорганизмов преобладала над сульфатвосстанавливающими к концу опыта. Отмечено, что в анаэробных условиях окисление сырой нефти проходит крайне медленно.
