The content of chlorophyll and pheophytin was studied in two dimensional groups of phytoplankton in the eastern part of the Black Sea in June-July, 1986. The contribution of these groups of phytoplankton to the total biomass was estimated both in the surface layer and in the euphotic zone depth. The share of small forms for oligotrophic regions was 40-55%, that for mesotrophic ones — 20-30% with the tendency to decrease in the euphotic zone depth. Pheophytin is shown to prevail in the large fraction of phytoplankton.
Show more [+] Less [-]Представлено пространственное распределение хлорофилла по двум размерным группам фитопланктона в восточной части Черного моря по материалам 34-го рейса НИС «Академик Вернадский» в июне — июле 1986 г. Рассмотрен вклад двух размерных групп фитопланктона в общую биомассу в поверхностном слое и по глубине эвфотической зоны. Для олиготрофных областей доля мелких форм составляла 40—55%, для мезотрофных — 20—30. Для обеих фракций представлено вертикальное распределение концентрации активного хлорофилла и неактивной его части — феопигментов. Отмечено резкое возрастание относительного содержания феофитина ниже 50-метрового слоя и вариации этого показателя по сезонам.
