A lo largo de la historia el estudio sobre el capital social y su construcción ha abierto la posibilidad de conocer a partir de la investigación diferentes apreciaciones alrededor de este tema que de acuerdo al contexto en que se centra el objeto de estudio ha permitido conocer que el concepto de capital social y la manera como se construye gira alrededor de los conceptos de confianza, construcción de redes, sentido de pertenencia y participación. Todo esto en el devenir de la vida como miembros de una comunidad, grupo, sociedad que en la búsqueda de soluciones unen esfuerzos en pro de alcanzar metas trazadas en conjunto dejando de lado intereses individuales. La investigación se centró en identificar la manera en que se construye y conserva capital social en el grupo de miembros vinculados a la asociación agroempresarial de la vereda Nueva Pativaca, Bolívar Utilizando una metodología cualitativa se emplearon instrumentos como línea de tiempo, el índice ICO, entrevista semiestructura y construcción de flujos de recursos ASOAGROPAT, herramientas que permitieron una descripción de la asociación ASOAGROPAT en el marco de su historia y aporte a las cualidades humanas y las unidades productivas de sus asociados e identificar las estrategias de promoción y conservación del capital social a partir de la influencia de la asociación. Esta estrategia aplicada en campo permitió constatar que la asociación ASOAGROPAT es una iniciativa autónoma de la comunidad, mantiene su vigencia y es promotora de la construcción de capital social en la comunidad de la vereda Nueva Pativaca, Bolívar. Como principales hallazgos de la presente investigación se encuentra que esta asociación ha logrado mantenerse en el tiempo, construir y fortalecer su capital social dentro de un contexto marcado por la violencia, el desplazamiento y el retorno, poniendo en marcha dos acciones que son: promover la participación de todos los miembros en las actividades de la asociación tanto dentro como fuera de la comunidad y la elección de representantes legales con cualidades humanas marcadas por un liderazgo innato o natural. Throughout history, the study of social capital and its construction has oponed the possibility of knowing from research different appreciations around this topic that, according to the context in which the object of study is centered, has allowed us to know that the concept of social capital and the way it is constructed revolves around the concepts of trust, networking, a sense of belonging and participation. All this in the evolution of life as members of a community, group, society that in the search for solutions join forces in order to achieve goals set together, leaving aside individual interests. The research focused on identifying the way in which social capital is built and preserved in the group of members linked to the agribusiness association of the village of Nueva Pativaca, Bolívar Using a qualitative methodology, instruments such as timeline, ICO index, semi-structured interview and construction of ASOAGROPAT resource flows were used, tools that allowed a description of the ASOAGROPAT association within the framework of its history and contribution to the human qualities and productive units of its associates and to identify the strategies for the promotion and conservation of social capital based on the influence of the association.
