La presente investigación tiene por nombre “Fomentando curiosidad: STEAM y el despertar científico en niños y niñas de 1º de primaria del Colegio Lucila Rubio De la Verde IED” tiene como objetivo analizar la relación entre el método STEAM, el proceso de aprendizaje y el desarrollo de habilidades científicas que permitan construir experiencias significativas para niñas y niños de primer grado, teniendo en cuenta las estrategias que los maestros utilizan en las aulas para potenciar el desarrollo de habilidades científicas, además el analizar las prácticas pedagógicas relacionadas con el método STEAM para involucrar actividades que potencien el pensamiento científico y por último generar una herramienta maestra que posibilite la implementación del método STEAM por parte de los docentes. Este trabajo de investigación se desarrolla bajo el método cualitativo con un paradigma fenomenológico Hermenéutico, que pretende comprender las experiencias y percepciones de los estudiantes y docentes del Colegio Lucila Rubio De Laverde IED respecto al método STEAM y las habilidades científicas, para esto se tiene en cuenta la observación directa a estudiantes y docentes, la exploración espontánea de diferentes materiales y las entrevistas a docentes, de las cuales se realiza un análisis exhaustivo que tiene como resultado la relación de estrategias implementadas por los docentes con el desarrollo de habilidades científicas, sin que esa sea la intencionalidad de los docentes. Por otra parte, los estudiantes siguen inmersos en la metodología tradicional, aunque algunos docentes están familiarizados con otras metodologías como STEAM. Sin embargo, carecen de material que los guíe en este camino. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior se diseñó una herramienta maestro que sirve de guía y apoyo para los docentes en cuanto a la implementación del método STEAM en las aulas de clase.

The present research is called “Fostering curiosity: STEAM and scientific awakening in boys and girls in 1st grade of primary School at the Lucila Rubio De la Verde IED.” and its objective is to analyze the relationship between the STEAM method, the learning process and development. of scientific skills that allow for the construction of meaningful experiences for first grade girls and boys, taking into account the strategies that teachers use in the classrooms to enhance the development of scientific skills, in addition to analyzing the pedagogical practices related to the STEAM method to involve activities that enhance scientific thinking and finally generate a teacher tool that enables the implementation of the STEAM method by teachers. This research work is developed under the qualitative method with a Hermeneutic phenomenological paradigm, which aims to understand the experiences and perceptions of the students and teachers of the Lucila Rubio De Laverde IED School regarding the STEAM method and scientific skills, for this it is taken into account. direct observation of students and teachers, spontaneous exploration of different materials and interviews with teachers, from which an exhaustive analysis is carried out, resulting in. the relationship of strategies implemented by teachers with the development of scientific skills, without this being the teachers' intention; On the other hand, students are immersed in traditional methodology just as many of them know other methodologies such as STEAM. They do not have material to guide them on this path. Taking the above into account, a teacher tool was designed that serves as a guide and support for teachers regarding the implementation of the STEAM method in classrooms.
