Evaluación de la tratabilidad de nutrientes del agua residual doméstica de la Universidad EIA por medio de un biorreactor de lecho fluido MBBR

RESUMEN: La universidad EIA conduce sus aguas residuales domésticas a su propia planta de tratamiento (PTAR) antes de ser vertidos a la fuente natural. Sin embargo esta presenta limitaciones de tiempo y espacio, y no está proyectada para recibir mayores concentraciones de contaminantes y mayor caudal debido al incremento de la población de la comunidad estudiantil. De no ser tratados correctamente contaminantes en el agua como DBO y nutrientes, pueden causar efectos perjudiciales en la fauna y flora y repercutir sobre la salud de las comunidades. Las PTAR deben ser eficaces en la remoción de contaminantes, y también deben ser eficientes y tener una proyección que les permita tratar mayores caudales y cargas contaminantes. Por ende, es necesario evaluar nuevas tecnologías que puedan garantizar lo anterior y aportar un beneficio económico, social y legal a largo plazo para la comunidad EIA. Por medio de un diseño experimental se evaluará la tratabilidad de carga contaminante orgánica , del agua residual doméstica de la Universidad EIA haciendo uso de un biorreactor de lecho móvil (MBBR) en 2 tipos de bio soportes, variando parámetros de diseño: tiempo de retención hidráulica y oxígeno disuelto. Midiendo parámetros de DQO, DBO5 se plantea calcular las tasas de remoción de materia orgánica carbonacea y nitrogenada para establecer los mejores parámetros de tratamiento. Por último, obteniendo estos resultados de laboratorio se propondrán criterios de dimensionamiento para la repotenciación de la planta existente de la Universidad.

ABSTRACT: EIA University conducts its domestic wastewater to its own treatment plant (PTAR) before being discharged to the natural source. However, it has time and space limitations, and is not projected to receive higher concentrations of pollutants and higher flow due to the increase in the population of the student community. Not being properly treated contaminants in the water as BOD and nutrients, can cause detrimental effects on fauna and flora and have an impact on the health of communities. PTARs must be effective in removing contaminants, and also must be efficient and have a projection that allows them to treat higher flows and contaminant loads. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate new technologies that can guarantee the above and provide a long-term economic, social and legal benefit for the EIA community. Through an experimental design, the traceability of organic contaminants from the domestic wastewater of the EIA University will be evaluated by means of a moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) in 2 types of bio-supports, varying design parameters: retention time hydraulics and dissolved oxygen. Measuring parameters of COD, BOD5 it is proposed to calculate the removal rates of organic substrate to establish the best treatment parameters. Finally, obtaining these laboratory results, sizing criteria for the repowering of the existing University plant will be proposed. Keywords: ARD, biocarriers, nutrients, PTAR.
