Evaluación de distintos herbicidas en el control de teosinte en cultivos diferentes al maíz | Evaluation of diverse herbicides for teosinte control in crops different to maize

Se evaluó la eficacia de 6 herbicidas autorizados en cultivos estivales que pueden rotar con maíz, frente a teosinte (Zea mays spp. mexicana ad. int): girasol, leguminosas o barbechos. Estos fueron: cicloxidim, cletodim, fluazifop, glifosato, imazamox y quizalofop. Para ello se realizaron 3 ensayos, uno en 2015 y dos en 2016, en un campo sin ningún cultivo comercial, infestado de teosinte en Torralba de Aragón (Huesca). Cicloxidim, cletodim, fluazifop y quizalofop con- trolaron perfectamente el teosinte. El glifosato mostró una eficacia baja en 2015 y muy alta en 2016, seguramente por la mayor dosis aplicada ese año. Imazamox mostró baja eficacia, posiblemente debido a que es una materia activa que funciona mejor con temperaturas más bajas que las registradas en el ensayo realizado a partir de julio.

The efficacy of 6 authorized herbicides was evaluated in summer crops that can be rotated with maize: sun- flower, legumes or fallow on teosinte (Zea mays spp. mexicana ad. int) control. The evaluated herbicides were: cycloxydim, clethodim, fluazifop, glyphosate, imazamox, and quizalofop. Three trials were carried out in a field without any commercial crop infested with teosinte at Torralba de Aragón (Huesca), one in 2015 and two in 2016. Cycloxydim, clethodim, fluazifop and quizalofop controlled teosinte perfectly. Glyphosate showed low efficacy in 2015 and very high control in 2016, pro- bably due to the higher dose applied that year. Imazamox showed low efficacy, possibly because it is an active ingredient that works best at temperatures lower than those given in the test conducted in July.
