Análisis de las pautas de riego en una comunidad de regantes con telecontrol

En los últimos diez años, la mayoría de los procesos de modernización de regadíos han incorporado sistemas de telecontrol a sus nuevas infraestructuras de riego. Estos sistemas abren muchas posibilidades en el campo de la gestión del agua de riego, sin embargo no existen herramientas que permitan explotar estos nuevos automatismos, relegando los sistemas de telecontrol a tareas rutinarias de control del funcionamiento de la red. La Comunidad de Regantes de Candasnos (CRC) es una comunidad de riego en el noreste de España equipada con un sistema de telecontrol que dispone de varios sistemas de riego presurizado (2344 ha de cobertura total, 1838 ha de pívot y 414 ha de riego por goteo). Los datos del telecontrol y los cálculos de las necesidades hídricas de los cultivos, nos han permitido analizar la calidad del riego en la CRC para los cultivos mayoritarios (maíz, alfalfa y melocotonero) mediante el estudio de la evolución temporal del Índice Estacional de la Calidad de de Riego (SIPI). Estos datos de telecontrol han permitido también analizar las pautas de riego en frutales de hueso de la CRC. Por otro lado, se controlaron 10 parcelas de cobertura total para estudiar las diferentes pautas de riego utilizadas en la CRC. Los promedios de SIPI para el maíz, alfalfa y melocotonero fueron de 83%, 107% y 123%, respectivamente. Se encontraron dos pautas de riego generales en la CRC: la primera se caracterizó por una mínima modificación del calendario de riego y la segunda se caracterizó por los continuos (semanal) cambios en el calendario de riego. Over the last ten years, telecontrol systems have been incorporated into the majority of modern collective pressurized irrigation networks in Spain. This type of infrastructure provides many opportunities for the improvement of irrigation system management; however, the procedures required to modify irrigation system management practices are not currently in place. In practice, telecontrol systems are only used for standardized network operations. The Candasnos irrigation district (CRC) is an area in north-eastern Spain that is equipped with a telecontrolled irrigation system and contains a variety of different pressurized systems (2,344 ha solid set, 1,838 ha center pivots and 414 ha drip systems). In the present study, telecontrol data and crop water requirements were used to analyze the irrigation performance of principal crop (maize, alfalfa and peach trees) throughout the study of the temporal evolution of the seasonal irrigation performance index (SIPI). The irrigation guidelines for stone fruit trees at the CID were analyzed and compared to those of standard and controlled deficit irrigation strategies. Moreover, 10 farms with solid set irrigation systems were monitored to determine on-farm irrigation patterns. The average SIPI of maize, alfalfa and peach trees was 83%, 107% and 123%, respectively. Two general farmer irrigation patterns were established at the CRC: the first was characterized by minimal modification of the irrigation schedule and the second was characterized by continuous (weekly) changes in the irrigation schedule.
