Estresse hídrico controlado em culturas agrícolas no Cerrado Brasileiro | Controlled water stress in agricultural cultures in Brazilian cerrado

Vários cenários apontam para redução da disponibilidade hídrica com o passar dos anos, diante disso, para se tornar sustentável, a agricultura irrigada precisará aumentar sua eficiência no uso da água e energia e a produtividade das culturas. O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar o efeito da redução da evapotranspiração potencial de cultura, resposta ao solo via irrigação, das principais culturas agrícolas brasileiras irrigadas sobre a produtividade e definindo o valor máximo de redução para cada uma delas. Para tal, informações referentes as safras dos anos de 2005 a 2016 para as culturas da cenoura, alho, batata, cana-de-açúcar, feijão, milho, soja, trigo, café arábica e algodão cultivadas nos estados da BA, MG, SP, GO, DF, MT foram coletadas. As culturas estudadas foram irrigadas pelos sistemas de irrigação do tipo pivô-central e gotejamento. As estimativas de evapotranspiração potencial da cultura (ETpc) e evapotranspiração da cultura (ETc), para realização do manejo da irrigação foram realizados pela empresa IRRIGER – Manejo e Engenharia de Irrigação. As informações de ETpc e ETc para cada uma das culturas, foram correlacionadas com os dados de produtividade das mesmas ,e modelos de regressão foram ajustados e partir deles, foi definido a máxima redução da ETpc (%) sem impactar negativamente a produtividade. Concluiu-se que a redução máxima de ETpc (%) sem afetar a produtividade é 5% para o alho e batata, 12% para o milho, 13% para o feijão, 15% para o trigo, 20% para a soja e algodão, 25% para a cana-de-açúcar e 30% para o café.

Several scenarios point to a reduction in water availability over the years. In order to avoid becoming sustainable, irrigated agriculture will need to increase its efficiency in the use of water and energy and crop productivity. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of the reduction of evapotranspiration, response to soil via irrigation, of the main irrigated Brazilian agricultural crops on yield, and defining the recommended maximum value of reduction for each of them. For this purpose, information on harvests from the years 2005 to 2016 for the crops of carrots, garlic, potatoes, sugarcane, beans, corn, soybeans, wheat, Arabica coffee and cotton cultivated in the states of BA, MG, SP, GO, DF, MT were collected. The studied crops were irrigated by central-pivot irrigation and drip irrigation systems. Estimates of crop potential evapotranspiration (ETpc) and crop evapotranspiration (ETc) for irrigation management were performed by IRRIGER - Irrigation Management and Engineering. The ETpc and ETc information for each of the cultures were correlated with the yield data of the same, and regression models were adjusted and from them, and the maximum reduction of the ETpc (%), was defined without negatively impacting productivity. It was concluded that the maximum reduction of ETpc (%) without affecting yield is 5% for garlic and potatoes, 12% for corn, 13% for beans, 15% for wheat, 20% for soybean and cotton, 25% for sugarcane and 30% for coffee.
