Sistemas de adubação em cultivos de milho exclusivo e consorciado com feijão, afetando a produção, estado nutricional e incidência de insetos fitófagos e inimigos naturais | Fertilization systems in cultivations of exclusive corn and corn intercropped with bean, affecting the production, nutritional state and incidence of phytophagous insects and natural enemies

Esta pesquisa objetivou estudar o efeito dos sistemas de cultivo e adubação das plantas de milho e feijão sobre a nutrição mineral, o ataque de pragas, a incidência de inimigos naturais e a produção das mesmas. O experimento foi realizado utilizando-se três doses de adubo mineral (zero, 250 kg de 4-14-8 + 100 kg de sulfato de amônio - SA/ha e 500 kg de 4-14-8 + 200 kg de SA/ha), duas doses de adubo orgânico (zero e 40 m3 de composto orgânico/ha), dois sistemas de cultivo (milho exclusivo e consorciado com feijão na primavera- verão e no verão-outono) e mais um tratamento adicional representado pelo feijão cultivado exclusivamente e submetido à adubação de 500 kg de 4-14-8 + 200 kg de SA/ha no delineamento em blocos ao acaso com quatro repetições. As características avaliadas foram as populações de insetos fitófagos, predadores e parasitóides, os teores de nutrientes nas folhas e a produção das culturas. O consórcio milho/feijão contribuiu para uma eficiência de área da ordem de 81% e tendeu a favorecer a ocorrência de herbívoros polífagos e desfavorecer a ocorrência de herbívoros oligófagos e seus inimigos naturais. Os teores de nutrientes tenderam a ser mais baixos no cultivo do milho consorciado do que no milho exclusivo. O inverso foi constatado em relação ao feijão cultivado no verão-outono. Maiores produções foram obtidas com uso da adubação orgânica do que com o uso da maior dose da adubação mineral. Dentre as doses de adubação mineral testadas, obtiveram-se maiores rendimentos do milho e do feijão cultivado no verão-outono com a de 500 kg de 4-14-8 + 200 kg de SA/ha, não havendo diferença no rendimento do feijão cultivado no verão-outono entre a dose de 250 kg de 4-14-8 + 100 kg de SA/ha e a de 500 kg de 4-14-8 + 200 kg de SA/ha. O uso da adubação mineral e orgânica favoreceu a ocorrência da maioria das pragas e seus inimigos naturais. Os teores de nitrogênio total, orgânico ou nitrato e do enxofre apresentaram correlações positivas com a intensidade de ataque da maioria das pragas e os teores de fósforo, potássio, zinco e cobre apresentaram correlacões negativas com a maioria das pragas.

The objective of this work was study the effect of the cultivation systems and fertilization levels of corn and bean plants on their mineral nutrition, attack of insect-pest, natural enemy incidence and yield. The experiment was carried out using three doses of mineral fertilizer (zero, 250 kg of 4-14-8 + 100 kg of ammonium sulfate - SA /ha and 500 kg of 4-14-8 + 200 kg of SA /ha), two doses of organic fertilizer (zero and 40 m3 of organic matter/ha), two cultivation systems (exclusive corn and corn intercropped with beans in the spring-summer and in the summer-fall) and an additional treatment represented by the bean cultivated exclusively and submitted to the fertilization of 500 kg of 4-14-8 + 200 kg of SA /ha in a random blocks design with four replicates. The evaluated characteristics were the populations of phytophagous insects, predators and parasitoids, nutrients content in the leaves and yield of the cultures. The intercroping corn/bean contributed to an efficiency of area of the order of 81% and it tended to increase the occurrence of polyphagous herbivores and to reduce the occurrence of oligophagous herbivores and their natural enemies. The contents of leaf nutrients tended to be lower in intercropped corn than in the exclusive corn. The inverse happened in relation to the bean cultivated in the summer-fall. Larger yields were obtained with use of the organic fertilization than with use of the largest dose of the mineral fertilization. Among the tested doses of mineral fertilization, it was obtained larger productions with corn and beans cultivated in the summer-fall period with 500 kg of 4-14-8 + 200 kg of SA /ha, not having difference in the bean yield cultivated in the summer-fall period among the rate of 250 kg of 4-14-8 + 100 kg of SA /ha and the rate of 500 kg of 4-14-8 + 200 kg of SA /ha. The use of the mineral and organic fertilization increased the occurrence of most of the insect-pests and their natural enemies. The leaf content of total and organic nitrogen or nitrate and sulfur presented positive correlations with the attack intensity of most of the insect-pests and the leaf content of phosphorus, potassium, zinc and copper presented negative correlations with the attack intensity of most of the insect-pests.
