UNIVERSITY EXTENSION AS SOCIOEDUCATIONAL ACTION | A EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA COMO AÇÃO SOCIOEDUCATIVA

The orientation of extension beyond the walls of university as a way of conceiving the university extension education is understood here as a way of discoveries, a reciprocal opening to new dimensions of the human knowledge. It is believed that higher education institutions manage the extension as a way of addressing the social issues that are effective with the diffusion of knowledge. However, as a condition of its realization, extension should recognize the limits of their knowledge without neglecting the aspect of interaction in order to receive contributions from teaching and research so that everyone knows exactly what is their level of participation as it is a necessary condition for social transformation. Under this approach, this study presents a reflection on the methodology of outreach intervention with social and educational activities in view of cooperative enterprise aiming at the autonomy of groups in situations of social vulnerability. We propose the preparation of intervention activities in cooperatives through socio-educational interactive workshops, encouraging the development of skills to deal with typical challenges of self-management such as conflict, division of tasks and autonomy.

A orientação da extensão para além dos muros da universidade como uma forma de conceber a extensão universitária educativa é entendida neste trabalho como um caminho de descobertas, uma abertura recíproca a novas dimensões do conhecimento humano. Acredita-se que as Instituições de Ensino Superior ao gerirem a extensão assumem-na como uma forma de abordagem das questões sociais que se efetiva com a difusão de conhecimentos. No entanto, como condição de realização a extensão deve reconhecer os limites de seu saber sem negligenciar o aspecto da interação para acolher contribuições do ensino e da pesquisa, numa linguagem clara para que cada um saiba exatamente o seu grau de participação como condição necessária para a transformação social. Sob esse enfoque esse trabalho traz uma reflexão sobre a metodologia de intervenção de extensão com ações socioeducativas na perspectiva do empreendimento cooperativo com vistas à autonomia de grupos em situação de vulnerabilidade social. Para tanto, propõese a preparação de atividades de intervenção em cooperativas a partir de oficinas socioeducativas de cunho interativo estimulando o desenvolvimento de habilidades para lidar com desafios típicos da autogestão como conflitos, divisão das tarefas e autonomia.
