The present work was carried out with the purpose of evaluating and having a database on the functional role of agrobiodiversity and production in family farming systems, an inventory of the plant species and varieties that have some known use within the agroecosystem was made, for which Diversity in the Canton was classified into four groups (human food, animal feed, soil feeding and complementary diversity) and they were assigned a value taking into account the importance within the ecosystem that is why farmers must take subscripts into account calculated so that they include in their farm plants that raise deficient subscripts, only then can a sustainable agroecosystem be reached
Show more [+] Less [-]El presente trabajo se llevó con la finalidad de evaluar y tener una base de datos sobre rol funcional de la agrobiodiversidad y producción en sistemas agrícolas familiares se realizó una encuesta de los cultivos y variedades vegetales que tienen algún uso conocido dentro del agroecosistema, para lo cual la diversidad en el Cantón Pueblo Viejo, fue clasificada en cuatro grupos (alimentación humana, alimentación animal, alimentación del suelo y diversidad complementaria) y se les asignó un valor teniendo en cuenta la importancia dentro del ecosistema es por ello que los agricultores deben tomar en cuenta los subíndices calculados para que incluyan en su finca plantas que eleven los subíndices deficientes, solo así se podrá llegar a un agroecosistema sostenible
