Afrodescendants in the founding of the Moravian church in Moskitia | Afrodescendientes en la fundación de la iglesia morava en la Moskitia

The goal of this Investigation is the documentation of the contribution of kriol or afro descendant personalities to the foundation and consolidation of the Moravian undertaking in its different historical moments as well as the role of this church in the construction of the "costeño" cultural identity. The author starts with the Initiation of the Moravian labor in the Mosquitla. emphasizing the role of Peter Blair. the black missionary of the West Indies. and the one of black and Indigenous women in the beginning of this evangelization. Next, he analyzes the period that he calls the autochthonization of the Moravian work in Nicaragua. Finally, he points out to the Influence of this church in the cultural changes of the "costeño" people.

El objetivo de esta investigación tiene el propósito de documentar el aporte de personalidades kriois o afrodescendientes a la fundación y consolidación de la obra morava en sus distintos momentos históricos, así como el papel de esta iglesia en la conformación de la identidad cultural costeña. El autor parte con los inicios de la obra morava en la Mosquitia, destacando el papel de Peter Blair, el misionero negro de las indias Occidentales, y el de las mujeres negras e indígenas de los comienzos de esta evangelización. Luego analiza la época de lo que el autor llama la autoctonizacion de la obra morava en Nicaragua. Y finalmente señala la influencia de esta iglesia en los cambios culturales del pueblo costeño.
