Yngleregistreringer av jerv i Norge i 2010

I år ble det påvist 66 dokumenterte eller antatte ynglinger av jerv i Norge. Dette er en økning på 13 ynglinger i forhold til i fjor. Ser vi på det nasjonale bestandsestimatet basert på minimum antall ynglinger i de tre siste år så er det en økning fra 330 voksendyr i 2009 til 362 i 2010. Alle rovviltregionene med fastsatt nasjonalt bestandsmål for regionen ligger over bestandsmå-let i forhold til antall ynglinger av jerv. Utviklingen av antall ynglinger i de ulike rovviltregionene viser at det er i region 5 og 8 vi ser de største endringene. I disse regionene er det en økning på hhv. fem og fire ynglinger. De andre regionene har en økning eller reduksjon på to ynglinger i forhold til fjoråret. Det nasjonale bestandsestimatet basert på minimum antall ynglinger de tre siste årene viser en økning på 32 individer; fra 330 dyr i fjor til 362 i år. I region 7 er det i år 13 ynglinger, og treårs-snittet for antall ynglinger i regionen ligger nå over bestandsmålet for første gang siden 2007. Bestandsestimatet for region 7 indikerer også en økning; fra 53 dyr i fjor til 66 i år. A total of 66 wolverine reproductions were found in Norway in 2010. This is an increase of thirteen reproductions compared to the previous year. The population estimate, based on the minimum number of reproductions over the last three years, indicates an increase from 330 animals in 2009 to 362 animals in 2010. All carnivore regions with national population level goals for wolverine reproductions have exceeded these goals. The most pronounced changes in the number of reproductions, compared to last year, were found in regions 5 and 8. Region 5 had an increase of five reproductions, while region 8 had an increase of four reproductions compared to the previous year. Only minor changes in the number of reproductions were found in the other regions. The national population estimate shows an increase from 330 to 362 adult individuals compared to the estimat e based on reproductions in 2007-2009. The population estimate for region 7 indicates an increase from 53 to 66 adult animals.
